militant

once a hero, above all else
imparted pearls of wisdom, but trouble became him
he sees the sense of it but can’t follow rules he must enforce
do we follow the code or take the easier path
allowing the morally blind lead us?

all he craves is another day…
one last tour on the battlefield
a shock of pleasures for the corrupt
the frontlines – where narrow escapes thrill the disturbed and destroy the pure of heart

moment

a glimmer of innocence in the concrete jungle

battles twisted churning hollow behaviors

she wishes for an intoxicating caress in celestial dawn

when tricks of light carry dreams to now

and aroma invites retrospection

jocundity

midsummers dawn in celestial light
warms my lips as blossoms stretch
and time and tide forever run
over me as I behold pure blue
surrounded by radiant greens…so many blinding hues
my eyes, sliding over the surface of all
recieve that sensation and instantly yeild it up again
as memory immediately alters shape and color
forming those slight distinctions that cause dissimilar recollections

the sun’s fire dances over hills and begins defining clean horizons
as I sit and admire feeling calm and nourished
charming scenes of rushing people mark the launch of another small town day

clarity

The sun sunk crimson and clear that night
I was scrutinized then met with a rush.
Had I sense, warm glow might suffuse my skin
As I could scarce covet shelter.
His keen eye caressed my body yet I felt no fear of him.

Fancies tenanted my mind as comprehension spirited
and I became drawn in dark and strong.
Magnitude hardly eluded me as I lavished all love in rapture unto him.

Clear stars beamed mild as the moon waxed bright.
Majestic the journey of hearts true delight.

celebration

The park is calm in evening’s dim light,
I stood arms outstretched, “Hope has not flown away!” I cry.
A tear’s cool shadowy finger traced a woman’s cheek, as she inhaled my glee.
She smiled and three rang with laughter.
Said the old man, “Best judge of a person’s character, is their hope.”

We danced then beneath the hearty elms, the woman, the old man, and I.
Others stopped and those who understood joined our dance.
Happy spirits elated in creation, as all sang discordant melodies with no words.

fatigue

Suspending moonlit tranquility she collapsed,
now wreckage upon the shore.
Soul disfigured, forbade the calming tides.
Softly carried on howling winds,
blame envelops her.
As she drowns her inadvertent tears,
mourning an unsullied existence.

refute

Night fathered he, I know.
Seems winter still, and, you away
belied some hidden cause.
As spirit broken hobbled off,
amid brown and withered brush.
Healed not by dawns light, gave way to itch.
Drawn now in ‘twixt delusive, tepid airs.
Compulsorily lost, now more than e’er.

hope’s seed

I try to pull the line, jump start your mind.
You sidestep your purpose, just exercise that rage lest it die.
Why?
Hold onto the malice. He needs more speed?? How can he breathe?
Your gonna need a new alignment when I start kickin’ up the side.
That’s right. Go ahead, pause, rewind. Re-listen.
Hear the lesson of the flow I know your missin’.
I know, I feel it.
They trample your flow, cancel out all you know.
Please. Just listen, you hear them…?

“Ladies and gentlemen, for your safety please become passive beings.”
“Ladies and gentlemen, for your safety fear the person standing next to you.”

I hear it chanted, corruption – so much it’s amazing we still function.
We gotta fight to keep our spot or we get knocked off – knocked over for infinity.
Next time don’t fall, just remember me.

spheres

Jubilant innocence feels the flutter of wings and dances to their song
Tears of laughter glisten over bursting smiles
Frivolous in all thought and feeling
Life a dream in emerald flourish
Watched over and adored for the sublime embodiment of all that can no longer take hold in minds mature
Spherical scenes flourish in magnificent jewels of almost comprehension
